God fulfills His promise to Abraham and Sarah with the miraculous birth of Isaac, despite their advanced age. Abraham was 100 and Sarah was 90, and they had waited 25 years for this bouncing baby boy. (Gen. 17:17; 21:1-2).

Isaac’s name, meaning “laughter,” reflects both Sarah’s initial disbelief (Gen.18:12) and the overwhelming joy of God’s fulfilled promise (Gen. 21:6). There’s no wonder why laughter came to both their lips and minds when they named him. Can you imagine seeing a couple that age pushing a stroller?

This event underscores God’s ability to keep His promises and reminds us that nothing is impossible for Him. What have you been waiting for God to do in your life? If His Word promises it, you can rest assured it will come to pass.
