Writing a Commentary?

Writing a Commentary?

Here’s an article with helpful information.

As I’ve shared in the past, most of my writing falls in the category of devotional or pastoral commentary. Between writing 250-word devotionals, lengthy expositional essays, and sermon manuscripts, I spend a large amount of time with my nose in God’s Word. This has led me to consider writing a practical Bible commentary series. (It’s an idea I’m working with a professional writing coach.)

Writing a commentary series is a huge undertaking. Just knowing where to start is mindboggling. I found helpful article at the Haddington House Journal by Allan Harman called Reflections on Writing Bible Commentaries. So, I wanted to share it with you. Let me know what you think in comments section.
